I have good news and bad news for you. First, the good news – I started a new job today. Second, the bad news – this means we won’t be able to get Pickle of the Month up and running as soon as we wanted. Curses!
I am VERY pumped about the new job. I left my role at a small, enterprise software company to be Product Manager at one of the more well-known ecommerce sites on the internet. This will not only arm me with invaluable experience on how to sell piles and piles of pickles, but will help Mike and I achieve our dream of becoming “The Pickle Kings of Chicago”. Working for a big company again shocks the system, but the experience is well worth it.
Despite this new roadblock, pickle progress is hard to slow. We set the wheels of incorporation in progress last week, “Pickle of the Month, Inc.” should be a legal entity in no time (well, actually about 15 more days). After that’s done we can get a bank account, an credit card merchant account, and start shipping pickles! Yeeeeessssssssss!! For all of you wanna-be-incorporators, check out www.mycorporation.com, they’ve treated us well so far.
In other news, we agreed to sell one of our domain names for a princely sum. I won’t tell you how much, but let’s just say most of our start up costs are covered. Wahoo!
